Outputs


The main objective of the project is the sustainable management of water via the reduction of the human environmental footprint, setting the three most important uses of water as the three axes of the project; 1st: Irrigation, 2nd: Sewage, 3rd: Water supply.

Each axis is supported with the following outputs that improve the management of the surrounding ecosystems (in precise ha) reducing the overexploitation and degradation of water:

1. Irrigation

• Equipment for the improvement of the irrigation management

• Equipment for the reduction of water pollution by the use of pesticides

• Three info events for the farmers and the protection of irrigation water (350 ha)

• Technical studies for the creation of an earthen dam for irrigation as a juxtaposition to heavy irrigation infrastructures (700 ha)

2. Sewage

• Construction of a sewage system for connection Timjanik into Negotino with 2030 m lenth

• Technical studies for the extension of the system & for a wastewater plant, (350 ha in direct area & 19.000 ha in the indirect river beds of Vardar river)

• A cross-border scientific conference for sewage management

• Two info days for the protection of water through sewage management

• Maintenance equipment of the sewage system with a vehicle for cleaning the pipes with stream method

3.Water supply

• Research for water areas redevelopment as sites of recreation (2 ha)

• Technical studies replacement of the water supply system of a village near Europa2000 areas

• Equipment for water management

• Two events for the World Water Day 2017

• Two info days for the water supply management value & the importance of networking the relevant institutions

• Two cross border students’ competitions for the water value

The overall expected output is a project fulfilling the criteria of joint development/ implementation/ staffing/ financing, contributing vividly to the protection of the environment & promoting the sustainable use of natural resources in the cross border area.
